Kitaro

Doesn't look like much from the outside (or really inside either) but I think it can't be beat - delicious sushi and decent price. I might also be someone who is super picky about sushi places (considering I have a rotation of only about 3 - the other 2 are high end) so I think that's another ringing endorsement for Kitaro! Delivery is quick and easy - particularly through Grubhub.

Not sure what the older complaints were about, but guessing it's a timing issue. I just ordered the three sushi lunch special and sushi/sashimi for two and it was excellent. I was worried the three sushi lunch special wouldn't be enough, but it was pretty packed and would have been fine for me alone, and I usually eat a lot.

On the pricey side, but the quality is worth it. I'm really picky about raw fish in sushi and tried it just because it came with the bento box. The fish was great as was the rest of the food

Got the 2 roll special with a spicy crunchy lobster roll and a spider roll. Was delivered even faster than they said and cost $8. Great deal for lunch!

Kitaro is my go-to sushi place. I order their special dragon rolls quite often. The staff is great and the sushi is great. Highly recommend!

We've been customers for years. Ordering in or eating at the restaurant, the service is terrific and friendly, and I always know they'll take care of me. I love the sushi. It's always fresh and delicious. I think it's the best in NYC for this price range. Can't say enough good things about Kitaro!

The sushi is delicious and always on time. My kids like the chicken katsu. The restaurant sent us a nice bottle of wine for the holidays which was a surprise and really kind. We order from them a few times a month: good customer service!! Highly recommend Kitaro.

I love sushi, but I currently cant eat fish or seaweed. This is one of the few places Ive found that offers vegetarian rolls and also allows you to replace nori with soy paper. The food tasted great, and was on time. Looking forward to ordering again soon.

I love Kitaro. I work right around the corner, so I make sure to order at least once a week. It's not too pricey and the quality of the food is good. Make sure to take advantage of the 2 roll or 3 roll lunch special. And their Banana Delight is a must.

Amazingly nice! I forgot to write that I was gluten free and was worried I wouldnt be able to eat any of the food I ordered. They REMEMBERED that I was gluten free from the one other time I ordered and they even sent me gluten free soy sauce
